- P H O T O G R A P H Y C O M P E T I T I O N -

There is a photography competition going on where the deviants on deviant art can submit their deviantations that they think are conceptual and something to do with nature. The pictures have to be inspiring and make people want to go out and actually make a difference. For example pictures of nature endangered species, animals, war, clear strong messages to do with war, habitat destruction, people rights, domestic disturbances, animal cruelty, habitat destruction...anything!! If the pictures AWF receives are powerful enough to be submitted by AWF the deviant artists name will be heard!!

Please inform on the email address below or ask any questions or give any ideas that you may have either on the email address given or send a message through deviant art!! If you have any shocking revelations that you would like to share then please do share them!!

Atlantic Whale Foundation is based in the canaries, Tenerife. It is a project that tries solely to inform the public about the dangers facing whales and dolphins. Such dangers include pollution, global warming, hunting, fast large ferries, and fishnets. The AWF doesn't just try to inform the public about whales and dolphins but many more things such as marine life. Also other animal life on this planet facing extinction. AWF recruits volunteers from all over the world to inform the public about the dangers facing not just whales and dolphins but the habitats that are facing extinction. Including the extinction of Forests and jungles.

Thank you.

Hellooo Friends!
I am writing you an email to beg for money, literally!
Okay the story goes that the Santago Rare Leopard Project is where i used my final work for my HND to photograph the leopards, ocelots and pumas held at the centre. I produced my finest work and now its under threat of closure, due to the terminal illness of the owner. I am trying to appeal to everyone who likes animals and those who photograph such beautiful cats.
Please read below for more information ..

The Santago project, in the UK, is under imminent threat of closure unless money can be raised to fund a dramatic increase in the cost of public liability insurance required to keep the project running. The aim of the project is to breed the most endangered types of leopard, particularly the clouded and snow, to be released back into the wild in an attempt to avoid their extinction.

An unexpected hike in insurance, along with critical illness of owner Peter James, puts the popular Rare Cat Project, Santago, under threat of closure unless money is raised for his partner Jackie to continue.

A popular attraction with many photographers and the destination of many photography workshops, Santago was started in 1989 by Peter James and is now home to a variety of Clouded, Snow, African and Black Leopards as well as Puma; totalling 14 big cats.

Photographers who hold photography workshops at Santago, or have done in the past, include Keith Hughes, Chris Weston, Andy Rouse, David Hemmings, Brian Hall of EOS Experience and John Wright of Photographers on Safari.

Unfortunately, Santago have recently experienced problems with troublesome neighbours and to make matters worse Peter was diagnosed with a terminal illness just a year ago and is now in a critical state. To keep the project alive Peter's wife, Jackie, will take over the business, but she has to acquire a dangerous animal licence to allow Santago to continue. This licence requires public liability insurance, now only provided by specialist insurance companies, and initial estimates suggest this will cost over £7,000, an unexpected and dramatic increase from the previous £180 cost.

While providing 24 hour care for her husband, Jackie now has the added pressure of raising the insurance money by 31st December. If the sum is not raised, Santago is in danger of being closed down.

ePHOTOzine has stepped in to help raise awareness and prevent the project from closing. We are appealing for donations to fund the cause and help Jackie and Peter keep the rare cats.

If you can help in anyway to promote and support this valued Wildlife Project by donations or by just forwarding this on to someone who cares!

Its extremely important that this place stays open, its one of the few places like it! I am donating today and hope that many others will do the same. Keeping this place open will allow many other people and photographers to have the opportunity to get up and close to some of the worlds most dangerous cats.
Thank you guys, Even if you cant donate please forward to someone who may be interested or even if you help promote it would be great. Thank you

Thank you for your time
